Description

  • Permanent position for an Applications Engineer to provide technical support to sales and customers.
  • Provide support to Manufacturing and Engineering.
  • Apply engineering solutions to technical issues.
  • Ensure that cable designs adhere to pertinent specifications, codes, and client prerequisites.
  • Create and assess reports and studies that fulfill client specifications.
  • Present technical information.
  • Perform engineering calculations, including impedance, ampacity, conductor short circuit currents, etc.
  • Travel to customer sites to deliver technical presentations about cable products.
  • Test and qualify cables.
  • Attend engineering conferences.

Requirements

  • BS Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 of experience with wire and cable product applications.
  • Experience delivering technical presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and within teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Experience with MS Office 365 suite of tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, including NEC, IEEE, NEC, UL, ICEA, etc.
  • Knowledge of three-phase power systems.
  • Familiarity with the utility and industrial fields.
