Buyer

Description

Contract position for a Buyer for medical device manufacturing.
Plan, procure, and manage raw material and CMO products.
Ensure manufacturing commitments are achieved while supporting inventory and sales objectives.
Utilize MRP to procure and schedule raw materials and CMO products.
Provide material availability information to internal customers.
Establish and maintain supplier relationships.
Align inventory with plant objectives and targets.
Participate in projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and product introductions.
Maintain SAP parameters to ensure data integrity.
Resolve receiving discrepancies, invoices, and supplier returns.
Work with internal customers to communicate and follow up on issues.

BS Business Management or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, materials management, or production planning.
Experience with medical device manufacturing preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, be well organized, take initiative, be flexible Ability to work in a high pressure environment.
Ability to resolve complex issues.
Previous working knowledge of MRP or equivalent system is preferred.
Prior SAP experience is preferred.
