Buyer – Medical Device

Description

Long-term contract position for a Buyer supporting procurement operations and an enterprise ERP implementation at a medical device manufacturer.
Process purchase orders, track deliveries and maintain supplier records in a controlled quality system.
Gather quotes, compare pricing and support supplier evaluation and qualification activities.
Monitor inventory levels and drive replenishment activity with the planning team.
Support data collection, validation and migration across materials management, distribution and warehouse management modules.
Maintain project documentation, schedules and meeting records for ERP supply chain rollouts.
Coordinate requirements gathering between supply chain, IT, quality and outside implementation consultants.
Execute system testing, document process changes and support audit preparation and compliance reporting.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of purchasing, materials planning or supply chain experience.
Purchasing experience in a regulated manufacturing environment such as medical device, pharmaceutical or aerospace.
Working knowledge of procurement, inventory and logistics processes.
Hands-on experience with a tier-one ERP platform, SAP S/4HANA preferred.
Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, lookups and basic data analysis.
Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 purchasing controls a plus.
Experience supporting an ERP implementation, migration or upgrade a plus.
