Permanent position for a CNC Machinist for setup and operation of Horizontal & Vertical machining centers.
Knowledge of G-Code.
Edit and make suggestions to improve existing programs, fixturing and how to reduce set-up times within the company.
Confer with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information that will continually improve the company and operations.
Use hand measuring tools like pin gages, micrometers, calipers etc. to check parts produced.
Inspect “First Piece” of job Set-Up.
Make adjustments as necessary and submit to inspection for First Article approval.
Enter accurate time for all jobs run via ERP system, working with production planning to ensure it is done properly. .Maintain and provide support to all 5-S program initiatives.
Ensure compliance with workplace policies according to safety objectives and procedures.
Requirements
High School Diploma, Minimum 5 years experience as a CNC machinist.
Ability to use adjustable measuring instruments and quality control equipment.
Experience with blueprint reading.
Knowledge of G-Code programming.
Experience with Horizontal and Vertical Machining centers required.
Required to have full set of personal tools to perform all tasks of job function.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings, basic understanding of GD&T as well as the ability to work from verbal instructions.
