Permanent position for a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC equipment and edit machine programs.
Create quality product products in a continuous improvement environment.
Read and understand drawings and prints, including sizing, tolerance and finishing requirements.
Upload and download machine programs.
Instruct and train operators in the loading, machining process, unloading, deburring and any other functions.
Assist operators in troubleshooting and resolving machine processing issues.
Enter production information into a computer production tracking system.
Follow all applicable environmental, health and safety rules and procedures and immediately report all dangerous situations, near-misses, and injuries.
Complete paperwork requirements for each operation, including setup and Serial Number Tracking Sheets.
Maintain a safe, clean and neat work environment.
Strive to improve workstation performance, reducing part-to-part times, increasing production efficiency, decreasing setup times through more efficient fixtures, work holding and tooling.
Work hours: 6:30am-3pm.
Work overtime as required.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of CNC Machining experience with advanced CNC machining skills, including work holding, tooling, setup, fixture and tool offsets, and program editing.
Experience with Haas or Okuma machines.
Ability to read and understand manufacturing and assembly drawings and hold close tolerances.
Knowledge of quality control measuring tool is required.
Experience with using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, depth gauges, and other measuring devices.
Ability to lift 70 pounds on a regular basis, as much as ten times an hour.
Understand G&M codes with the ability to read and edit machine programs.
Requires working in a non-air conditioned environment.
