Customer Service Representative

Description

  • Permanent position for a Customer Service Representative to provide support information on specialty chemical products and services to fulfill the specific application needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Initiate, monitor, respond and coordinate high volume of emails and phone call inquiries between customers, sales team, freight forwarders, and other internal departments to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
  • Responsible for all aspects of domestic and international order processing including placing and tracking orders and inbound container shipments from intercompany sites.
  • Process sample requests and customer returns.
  • Maintain and update customer requirements and account information in database / operating systems.
  • Monitor stocking levels at warehouses based on sales history and forecasts.
  • Position is with a manufacturing company.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Customer Service with direct phone and/or email interfacing with chemical industry customers and internal departments.
  • Experience with processing of orders, samples, and returns.
  • Must have experience with SAP database software/operating system and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with overseas shipping and working with freight forwarders preferred.
  • Must be detail oriented, with ability to multi-task to respond to high volume of incoming orders.
  • Professional, team-oriented, pleasant attitude, and strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers.
