Electrical Engineer – Aerospace / Defense

Description

Permanent position for an Electrical Engineer to evaluate products and components.
Design and development of rugged displays.
Extract and understand customer requirements.
Create schematics, block diagrams and wiring lists.
Create test procedures and reports.
Generate Printed Circuit Board layouts and schematic capture.
Implement electromagnetic control principals in product designs.
Design or select low voltage power supplies.
Select Commercial Off The Shelf boards and displays based on end product requirements.
Support qualification tests at outside laboratories.
Develop manufacturing processes for building and assembling electrical components.
Ensure product quality by designing electrical testing methods and testing finished products and systems.
Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Research for new parts and methods to improve product design.

BS Electrical Engineering Experience in circuit design and PCB layout.
Strong understanding of electronics, debugging, and diagnostics.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Comprehensive understanding of display systems Creative problem solving skills.
Experience working on LCD and LED monitors is a plus.
Experience with Linux, C#, and C++ is a plus.
Experience with MIL STANDARDS is a plus.
US Citizen or permanent residency required as position is with a defense contractor.
