Electromechanical Assembly Lead

Description

  • Permanent position for an Electromechanical Assembly Lead to lead a team of electromechanical assemblers, to meet the company deadlines, to troubleshoot technical problems and to perform according to quality standards.
  • Independently build assemblies of electromechanical parts as required.
  • Ensure proper ESD equipment is in place.
  • Ensure that employees and worktables are grounded prior to handling any electrical components.
  • Maintaining high work standards on the production line, lead by example.
  • Perform visual, functional andor dimensional inspections when required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
  • Ensure accuracy and organize documentation as required for a work order.
  • Generate reports and data entry as required.
  • Raise flags to the appropriate personnel whenever a nonconformance is suspected.
  • Set up and Monitor the assembly room.
  • Ensure compliance to the prescribed QMS processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience working with surface mount technology lines.
  • Experience with use of basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, etc.
  • Computer skills with MS office.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Time management skills.
  • Attention to details.
  • Certifications that are desired are: IPC-A-620 Certified, Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies, IPC-A-610 Certified, Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies, and IPC-J-STD-001 Certified, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Assemblies.
  • Ability to read & interpret mechanical blueprints and drawings is desired.
  • Experience with inspection tools such as calipers, height gages, micrometers, etc. is desired.
  • Awareness and knowledge of processes related to production.
