Description
Permanent position for an Electromechanical Design Technician to promote continuous improvement and quality assurance for manufacturing operations.
Design, develop, and implement custom tools, jigs, and fixtures to streamline electrical assembly processes.
Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings ensuring conformance to specifications, tolerances, and safety standards.
Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, precision, and ergonomics.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to reduce waste and improve throughput.
Develop prototypes of tools and jigs for validation and testing.
Conduct hands-on troubleshooting and refinement of designs based on actual performance.
Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to understand requirements and integrate feedback into designs.
Provide technical support and training to operators on proper use of tools and equipment.
Create and maintain detailed documentation, including design specifications, operation manuals, and maintenance guidelines.
Ensure all tools and equipment comply with industry regulations and company standards.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience designing tooling, fixtures and jigs.
Experience with mechanical and electrical assembly, tool maintenance, or equipment troubleshooting.
Experience with Connector assembly is ideal.
Proficiency in SolidWorks.
Knowledge of project management with problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, such as machining, injection molding, or additive manufacturing.
Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Experience working on a production floor with the ability to troubleshoot issues and refine tools and equipment.
Familiarity with AS9100, OSHA, and other relevant safety and quality standards.
