EMC Test Engineer – Medical Devices

Description

Contract position for an Electrical Engineer for EMC (electromagnetic compliance) for medical device manufacturing.
EMC testing, debugging, and standards compliance.
Supervise and test team performing EMC testing on site and at accredited test laboratories.
Perform EMC testing both on-site and at off site test facilities with limited supervision.
Supervise a small team of technicians (1-3) in performance of EMC testing and debugging.
Develop EMC related test protocols and administer the review of these protocols through the Getinge Quality System.
Perform EMC debugging to determine solutions to EMC problems.

BS Electrical Engineering Minimum 3 years experience in EMC testing as a primary responsibility.
Ability to supervise a test team in accordance with EMC test and debug objectives.
Knowledge of medical device standards including IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1-2.
Knowledge of Transport EMC requirements such as RTCA is a plus.
Working knowledge of EMC test setups, equipment and calibration.
Ability to travel from company site to out of state EMC test labs on frequent basis.
Experience working on a collaborative product development teams under design controls.
Experience in performing feasibility engineering.
Ability to present solutions to peers and upper management.
