Field Engineering Associate

Description

  • Permanent position for a Field Engineering Associate for GIS database management and fieldwork.
  • Plan and implement organizational programs as a field engineering associate.
  • Maintain the asset management database utilizing ArcGIS and other related applications.
  • Perform fieldwork for data acquisition utilizing GPS equipment.
  • Conduct field visits to monitor work at company facilities.
  • Use AutoCAD to support the design and implementation of projects.
  • Perform investigations and inspections for engineering projects.
  • Analyze technical data and associated documents with regard to plans or designs.
  • Review survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and other geographical data.
  • Prepare geographic representations of GIS information.
  • Review data for completion, precision, practicality, and quality of documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge for GIS technology, equipment, or systems.

Requirements

  • BS Engineering.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with geographic information systems (GIS).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering construction experience.
  • Knowledge of GIS applications.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and other related engineering applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, maps, and specifications.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of materials, tools, and equipment used in various engineering construction, maintenance, and/or operational projects.
  • Understanding and compliance with county policies and procedures.
