Field Service Technician – Pharma/Biotech

Description

  • Permanent position for a Field Service Technician to conduct repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting on pharmaceutical, cosmetic and consumer product packaging machinery.
  • Travel throughout the USA, Canada, and Caribbean.
  • Prepare for use, perform operational checks, inspect and calibrate, modify, test, and perform complex assembly on equipment.
  • Diagnose, report, document, assemble, and repair equipment.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct training on designated equipment and explain how a task is performed or accomplished.
  • Train technicians on OSHA and HSE best practices, and maintenance policies.
  • Review equipment performance issues.
  • Analyze data for root cause identification and recommend corrective actions.
  • Attend designated trade shows during set up, show days and dismantle.
  • Maintain good customer relations through phone or email follow ups.
  • Can be worked remotely, but prefer someone local to NJ or New England.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience with cosmetic and pharmaceutical packaging equipment.
  • Knowledge of aseptic and sterile equipment a plus.
  • Knowledge of mechanics of automatic packaging machinery.
  • Knowledge of digital electronics and pneumatics.
  • Familiar with Technical Documents, Drawings, and Schematics.
  • Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and maintain flexibility when major changes occur.
  • Understanding of applicable OSHA and HSE standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships while achieving work goals.
  • Ability to communicate pertinent information verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in PC, PLC and HMI Software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 including Excel, Word, OneDrive, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to travel 80% of the time throughout the US, Canada, and the Caribbean.
  • Knowledge of Italian and Spanish is helpful Occasional travel to Europe for training.
