Permanent position for a Hardware Engineer for FPGA and ASIC applications design verification.
Responsible for the specification, design, verification and integration of FPGA and ASIC based solutions in support of inertial measurement (IMU) and navigation (INS) products.
Applications for use in aircraft, UAV’s, missiles, land vehicles, and sea platforms.
Responsible for simulation and implementation tools associated with the FPGA/ASIC development and design process.
Work on state-of-the-art Multiprocessor System on Chip (MPSoC) technologies.
Research and establish best fit and functionality per application.
Requirements
BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering required, MS preferred HDL design and verification (at least 8-10 years of experience).
Knowledge of DO-254 level of lifecycle documentation/data development including requirements generation and formal validation.
Experience with DOORS.
Must be proficient in the associated simulation and implementation tools associated with the FPGA/ASIC development/design process.
Must be able to execute in all phases of development: conception, requirements, design, implementation, hardware integration, verification to requirements and product lifecycle support.
Experience with tools from vendors such as Xilinx, MicroChip (MicroSemi/Actel), Synopsys, and Mentor Graphics.
Knowledge (proficiency preferred) Microsoft Office tools System Verilog for Verification (UVM), scripting is a plus.
Experience with C-language based software is a plus.
Must be able to work on U.S. government programs and/or obtain security clearance in the future as position is with a defense contractor.
