Hardware Engineer – RF/Microwave Filters

Description

  • Permanent position for a Hardware Engineer to design and develop innovative RF components and systems.
  • Components and systems include lumped, planar, cavity, and dielectric resonator technologies.
  • Design of advanced pseudo-elliptic microwave filters (both single- and multimode), diplexers, and multiplexers.
  • Design of switched filter banks, including simple amplifier configurations and PCB layout for RF and DC boards.
  • Utilize Ansoft HFSS, Ansoft Designer, Genesys, and other custom software.
  • Perform engineering work of various types in the design or redesign, manufacture, installation, operation, or maintenance of microwave filters, systems or equipment.
  • Write filter synthesis programs and test and automation software.
  • Assist lab technicians by simulating test results and recommending circuit modifications.
  • Prepare acceptance and qualification test procedures for use by lab technicians and other engineers.
  • Contribute to customer proposals, with both written and verbal presentations.
  • Participate in internal company seminars and design reviews.
  • Interface with the mechanical design group to provide electrical guidance on new designs.
  • Participate in scientific conferences and present papers.

Requirements

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or PhD in Physics is preferred.
  • Experience focused on filter, diplexer, and multiplexers design is required.
  • Understanding of driving and biasing circuits and basic logic networks such as the ones required for the control of a switch.
  • Experience with Ansoft HFSS, Ansoft Designer, and Genesys software.
  • Good verbal and written communication in English.
