Permanent position for a Hardware Engineer to design and develop innovative RF components and systems.
Components and systems include lumped, planar, cavity, and dielectric resonator technologies.
Design of advanced pseudo-elliptic microwave filters (both single- and multimode), diplexers, and multiplexers.
Design of switched filter banks, including simple amplifier configurations and PCB layout for RF and DC boards.
Utilize Ansoft HFSS, Ansoft Designer, Genesys, and other custom software.
Perform engineering work of various types in the design or redesign, manufacture, installation, operation, or maintenance of microwave filters, systems or equipment.
Write filter synthesis programs and test and automation software.
Assist lab technicians by simulating test results and recommending circuit modifications.
Prepare acceptance and qualification test procedures for use by lab technicians and other engineers.
Contribute to customer proposals, with both written and verbal presentations.
Participate in internal company seminars and design reviews.
Interface with the mechanical design group to provide electrical guidance on new designs.
Participate in scientific conferences and present papers.
Requirements
PhD in Electrical Engineering or PhD in Physics is preferred.
Experience focused on filter, diplexer, and multiplexers design is required.
Understanding of driving and biasing circuits and basic logic networks such as the ones required for the control of a switch.
Experience with Ansoft HFSS, Ansoft Designer, and Genesys software.
