Description
Permanent position for a Lead Manufacturing Engineer for new product introduction for precision machined products.
Coordinate with purchasing and engineering on new product introductions.
Develop new and improve existing manufacturing, assembly, test processes, and manufacturing cells.
Create new and revise existing routers, driven by ECO’s, process improvements, etc.
Update jobs based on NCMR’s, ECO’s, EO’s, redlines, etc.
Create jobs to make fixtures or development parts.
Review and approve ECO’s for new and changes to existing drawings, documents, etc.
Review, provide feedback, and offer alternatives for NPI drawings for correctness, manufacturability, standardization, best practices, etc.
Build development and LRIP assemblies.
Determine and implement part protection and handling processes to reduce damage and rework.
Provide all needed support for final packaging.
Prepare ECO’s for new and changes to fixture drawings, weld simulation drawings, standards, etc.
Lead process optimization and continuous improvement for manufacturing operations.
Conduct weekly one on one meetings with manufacturing engineers.
Write and deliver annual performance reviews.
Participate in interviews and offer input and recommendations.
Lead or support capital expense efforts.
Requirements
BS Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or the technical equivalent Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
Experience leading other engineers required.
Experience with fixture design.
Understanding of Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing tools.
Proficient in the use of Solidworks.
Solid project management, communication, and cross functional team leadership skills.
Ability to perform in a fast paced, medium sized company.
Results oriented and ability to motivate team members.
