Permanent position for a Mechanical Design Engineer to design HVAC and other mechanical systems for complex innovative, highly sustainable, and high performance building projects.
Position is with a leading NYC (midtown) MEP design engineering consulting firm.
Prepare assigned project deliverables on-time, attention to detail, and limited detailed instructions.
Interact frequently with clients with site visits to provide estimates of probable construction costs and issue reports.
Provide system designs and documentation with AutoCAD and Revit.
Conduct engineering calculations and equipment selection.
Generate new and edit existing equipment specifications.
Requirements
BS Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering Minimum 2 years of MEP industry experience.
Engineer in Training (EIT) required.
LEED Accreditation required.
Experience with building performance simulation.
Proficiency with engineering calculations and performance simulation software Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
Knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
