Permanent position for a Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC and building automation systems on projects involving design and construction of innovative, highly sustainable, and high performance buildings.
Position is with a leading NYC (midtown) MEP design engineering consulting firm.
Complete profitable projects on schedule for high quality mechanical HVAC system construction.
Conceptualize mechanical HVAC systems and communicate design options to project stakeholders.
Develop building automation system (BAS) controls and sequences of operation.
Prepare mechanical technical specifications.
Develop new client relationships with on site-visits and by attending industry events.
Conduct presentations to clients and staff and at industry events.
Mentor, train, and develop staff.
Responsible for project quality control.
Requirements
BS Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC design and project management.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
LEED Accreditation required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit.
Experience with engineering calculations and performance simulation software.
Strong leadership and motivational qualities and project management experience.
