Mechanical Engineer – Power Generation

Description

Permanent position for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to manage all engineering associated with boiler and power plant performance.
Review and approve any heat transfer or combustion models related to power plant thermal equipment.
Provide technical direction for engineering proposal and contract activity.
Responsible for department budget.
Provide engineering budgets for proposal offers.
Technical lead in all thermal engineering matters.
Act as the primary technical liaison in all areas of department work.
Review and provide comments to customer and vendor equipment specifications on a project by project basis.
Support proposal and contract activity for AQCS and boiler systems design, including new project and aftermarket work.
Develop and maintain engineering standards and equipment specifications to meet US market requirements.
Position is with a power generation engineering company.

BS Mechanical Engineering PE license preferred.
Expert level knowledge in areas of power plant design, boilers, AQCS, and aftermarket components.
Technical leadership skills.
Experience with developing man-hour budget to complete assignments, personnel allocation to proposal, and contract projects.
Management experience to instruct and train department engineers.
