Municipal Engineering Manager – Hybrid

Description

  • Permanent position for an Engineering Manager for Municipal Projects.
  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of municipal projects, including roads, stormwater management, and public infrastructure.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including permitting and municipal stormwater management rules.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal clients, representing municipalities as a municipal or board engineer at public meetings and providing expert advice on engineering and compliance matters.
  • Prepare, review, and approve engineering reports, proposals, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Support business development by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in client presentations.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in public outreach and education initiatives as required by municipal regulations, supporting community awareness and compliance.

Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering.
  • PE License required.
  • Minimum 15 years experience required.
  • Prior experience managing engineers is required.
  • Experience managing projects and engineering personnel.
  • Hands-on experience in working on the projects.
  • Prior municipal project experience is preferred.
  • Prior business development experience preferred.
