Permanent position for a Process Engineer responsible for ensuring that the casting processes are performed in compliance with the methods, materials, and equipment specifications.
Perform root cause analysis of any deviation from critical process specifications.
Provide technical support to Process Engineering to resolve casting related issues.
Develop a timely and formal reaction plan to address deficiencies.
Report on the critical process status on daily and monthly basis.
Responsible for control and approval of all dipping routines.
Responsible for daily interface and communication of issues with manufacturing, maintenance, facilities personnel.
Institute proper project monitoring, follow up and feedback system to ensure financial and contract targets are met.
Optimize yields and minimize rework.
Utilize process management designed experiments, IPM and SPC, and Cpk for continuous improvement.
Provide technical guidance to management and peers in areas of current or potential needs of the plant.
Routinely review process for adherence to established techniques and to ensure the repeatability of approved process.
Requirements
BS in Materials, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering.
Previous experience in investment casting ceramics.
Minimum 3 years experience with industrial manufacturing.
Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment.
Working knowledge of statistical analysis.
Strong analytical abilities.
Black belt/Green belt certification preferred.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and create project plans.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the customer and/or management.
