Description
Permanent position for a Production Planner responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of manufacturing activities.
Ensure production meets operational objectives and ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
Ensure products are manufactured and delivered on time optimizing processes.
Ensure schedule adherence, material readiness, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Coordinate and manage production workflows across one or more product lines to meet customer demand.
Develop, maintain, and execute daily and weekly production schedules.
Prepare, release, and track Job Orders.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 QMS requirements, maintain documentation, and support audits.
Plan and prioritize operations to optimize efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize disruptions.
Create staffing plans, shift schedules, and overtime requirements.
Monitor production progress and communicate status updates.
Identify, escalate, and resolve production constraints or delays.
Lead weekly order status meetings providing visibility to risks and recovery plans.
Maintain accurate ERP/MRP records.
Review purchase orders and communicate delivery commitments.
Support ISO 9001 audit compliance.
Requirements
Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s preferred.
Minimum 5 to 7 years production planning experience.
Experience in a quality-driven manufacturing environment.
Experience with MRP and ERP systems.
Experience with Microsoft Excel.
Experience with forecasting materials and labor.
Experience with supply chain management.
Must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident as position is with a defense contractor.
