Permanent position for a Senior Project Engineer to manage engineering projects from kickoff through installation.
Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers, internal engineering teams, sales, and production.
Ensure accurate order entry, on-time production scheduling, and project management.
Develop and maintain project schedules, including engineering milestones, production timelines, and installation dates.
Work with customers to clarify their technical requirements, specifications, and performance expectations.
Generate detailed engineering documentation, scope definitions, and internal work instructions.
Provide design reviews, change requests, installation planning and other technical support.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, production planning, and quality teams.
Communicate project status, risks, and technical issues as they arise.
Ensure sales orders are accurately entered with complete technical details, configurations, and customer requirements.
Notify production teams of upcoming builds, providing all necessary documentation, timelines, and technical clarifications.
Monitor production progress and address issues that may impact schedule, cost, or quality.
Coordinate installation activities, ensuring resources, materials, and customer site readiness are aligned.
Monitor project budgets and provide cost reduction and efficiency initiative recommendations as needed.
Requirements
BS Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in project engineering or applications engineering.
Detail oriented, with technical problem solving, and time management skills.
Experience in product design and development using AutoCAD and SolidWorks Strong customer facing communication skills to clearly explain complex technical concepts.
Project planning and scheduling experience.
Proficiency in MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Asana project management tools and methodologies.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of cost structures, margin requirements, and commercial impacts of engineering decisions.
