Description

  • Twelve month plus contract position for a Project Engineer to relocate a manufacturing plant in Mount Laurel, NJ area.
  • Plan and execute relocation of a a large scale manufacturing facility.
  • Coordinate across internal teams and work with suppliers and contractors.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules.
  • Develop task lists for process equipment, plant layout and utilities.
  • Interface with suppliers, contractors, riggers and service providers.
  • Support equipment disassembly, relocation, re-installation and start-up activities.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to layout design, material flow, and process transitions.
  • Track progress, report issues and provide regular project updates to management.

Requirements

  • BS Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in project management for industrial plant projects.
  • Experience in rigging, equipment installation, and plant start-up.
  • Strong project leadership skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to support off-hours, weekend, or multi-day move events as needed.
  • Ability to work onsite for the majority of the contract period.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
