Description
Permanent position for a Lead Quality Assurance Inspector / QA Inspector position for a manufacturing company.
Responsible for product quality.
Ensure customers receive products and services that meet quality standards and contractual requirements.
Inspect parts at various stages from raw material to finished product.
Work with suppliers on quality issues.
Schedule and interface with external inspectors.
Perform site inspections at supplier facilities.
Calibrate inspection instruments and gauges.
Weld inspection.
Requirements
AAS Engineering Technology preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance in a machine-shop environment.
Proficiency in various manufacturing methods such as sand and investment casting, forging, machining, welding, etc.
Familiarity with industry QA standards, including MIL-I-45208A, ANSI/ASQC C1 and ISO 9001-2015.
Experience with CMM programming and Inspection.
Experience with ERP systems.
Experience performing hydrostatic testing.
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing standards (GD&T).
