Quality Inspector

Description

  • Contract to direct position for a Quality Inspector to perform complex in-process and final inspections on molded parts and assemblies.
  • Interpret blueprints and apply GD&T principles.
  • Dimensional inspection and GD&T.
  • Interpret inspection results and determine accept / reject status.
  • Perform inspections.
  • Identify quality issues and escalate appropriately.
  • Perform complex inspections using advanced tools and equipment, including optical comparators, vision systems, and programmable CMMs with existing programs.
  • Operate Zeiss CMMs (Calypso), OGP (Zone 3) and Keyence vision systems, and other automated measurement platforms.
  • Make accept or reject decisions on standard products.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T requirements.
  • Assist with creation of inspection plans and visual standards.
  • Document inspection results accurately in QMS or ERP system.
  • Participate in containment and root cause analysis activities.
  • Ensure inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years in a quality inspection role.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T fundamentals.
  • Experience with advanced measurement tools, including CMMs (existing programs).
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in injection molding or aerospace manufacturing preferred.
