Permanent position for a Quality Manager for military vehicle upgrade kits.
Lead and manage all aspects of the Quality Department, including supplier quality, root cause analysis, audits, First Article Inspections, regulatory compliance, and customer source inspections.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, MIL-STDs, and AWS welding standards.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes to ensure production meets regulatory and customer requirements.
Review and approve new projects, identifying quality requirements and ensuring necessary certifications are obtained.
Oversee quality aspects of welding operations, including obtaining and maintaining welding certifications for major projects.
Conduct internal and external audits, manage corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide training to employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
Collaborate with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Manage and maintain quality inspections and product release procedures.
Manage and maintain calibration system.
Requirements
BS Engineering or a related field (preferred).
RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE.
Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality management position.
Strong understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100 standards.
Experience with MIL-STDs, and AWS welding standards is an advantage.
Experience with supplier quality management, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certifications are a plus.
Proficiency in quality tools such as FAI, PPAP, RCA, 8D, and SPC.
Ability to read & interpret mechanical blueprints drawings.
Experience with new project approvals and preparation for quality aspects in a manufacturing setting.
