Quality Manager

Description

  • Permanent position for a Quality Manager for military vehicle upgrade kits.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the Quality Department, including supplier quality, root cause analysis, audits, First Article Inspections, regulatory compliance, and customer source inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, MIL-STDs, and AWS welding standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes to ensure production meets regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Review and approve new projects, identifying quality requirements and ensuring necessary certifications are obtained.
  • Oversee quality aspects of welding operations, including obtaining and maintaining welding certifications for major projects.
  • Conduct internal and external audits, manage corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training to employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and maintain quality inspections and product release procedures.
  • Manage and maintain calibration system.

Requirements

  • BS Engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality management position.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100 standards.
  • Experience with MIL-STDs, and AWS welding standards is an advantage.
  • Experience with supplier quality management, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certifications are a plus.
  • Proficiency in quality tools such as FAI, PPAP, RCA, 8D, and SPC.
  • Ability to read & interpret mechanical blueprints drawings.
  • Experience with new project approvals and preparation for quality aspects in a manufacturing setting.
