Description
Permanent position for an R&D Chemist to conduct laboratory testing and applications testing on food additives.
Provide detailed observations of lab tests and to accurately record the data and in a laboratory notebook and in spreadsheets.
Communicate results, observations, and work progress to supervisor.
Work with low to moderately hazardous chemicals using appropriate safety procedures and practices.
Manage laboratory workflow for multiple, concurrent applications projects.
Interact with customers by effectively communicating project updates and presenting project results.
Give technical presentations, visit customer sites, and attend trade shows.
Work with supervisor, commercial leaders, and sales to understand market needs and develop new products.
Requirements
BS Chemistry and at least 5 years of experience as an R&D chemist.
Experience working in food science is ideal.
Strong data observation and interpretation skills.
Strong time management, and computer and math skills.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy to compare data and detect inconsistencies.
