Sales Engineer – Process Equipment

Description

  • Permanent position for a Sales Engineer for a northeast territory, selling process equipment to food & beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical process industries.
  • Establish new accounts, build relationships and grow business with existing accounts.
  • Develop strategic business partnerships.
  • Create and negotiate long term business relationships.
  • Seek, create and develop new business opportunities to build sales.
  • Ensure customer needs are met, and troubleshoot issues reported handling complaints and problems.
  • Participate in sales forecasting, strategic planning and other sales engineer tasks.
  • Research, develop and maintain long and short range sales & marketing plans.
  • Gather and report marketing trends and intelligence.
  • Responsible for preparing basic weekly reports.
  • Adapt knowledge of customer requirements to company products.
  • Understand and promote all of company products within existing customer base.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years industry related experience with process equipment for pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and food processing.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks is helpful.
  • Working knowledge of ASME codes including Section VIII Div and B31.3 is ideal but not required.
  • Knowledge of 3A and surface finishes for food and dairy equipment.
  • Mechanical skills including an understanding of pipe, valves and fittings.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, fabricating, casting and forging would be plus.
  • Experience with sales of industrial process equipment would be a plus.
