Permanent position as an automation & controls engineer for an automated conveyor / material handling manufacturing company.
This is a remote position for someone in the Philadelphia area with travel to Kansas City and Montreal.
Primary responsibilities will include: Work closely with project managers and technical team (mechanical, software, electrical) to develop material handling / conveyor systems.
Act as lead engineer in the control systems development and prototyping.
Responsible for end-to-end automation tasks, including programming industrial programmable logic controllers (PLCs), managing networking components, and overseeing the design of electrical panels and controls.
Occasionally collaborate with mechanical engineers to assist in the development and design of the system’s mechanical components.
Lead the site acceptance testing phases at the client’s location to ensure compliance and performance.
Requirements
BSEE or equivalent degree At least 8 years experience in I&C Experience in material handling / conveyor systems controls highly desired.
