Senior Embedded Controls Engineer

Description

  • Permanent position for a Senior Embedded Controls Engineer responsible for the design, development, and implementation of embedded control systems.
  • Design for electrical hardware, PCB development, and embedded firmware development.
  • Create PCB layouts using Altium Designer and generate complete PCBA documentation packages.
  • Create BOMs, fabrication files, assembly drawings, and test procedures.
  • Develop embedded control architectures.
  • Perform schematic capture for digital, analog, and mixed signal circuits.
  • Conduct component selection, design reviews, and DFM / DFT assessments.
  • Support prototype builds, hardware bring up, debugging, and validation testing.
  • Develop embedded firmware in C for Microchip microcontrollers.
  • Implement low level drivers, communication protocols, control algorithms, and system level functionality.
  • Perform firmware debugging, optimization, and hardware software integration.

Requirements

  • BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in embedded hardware and firmware development.
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer.
  • Experience with embedded C for Microchip microcontrollers.
  • Ability to take designs from concept through production.
  • Experience with troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment.
  • Experience with EMC / EMI design and testing preferred.
  • Experience with motor control, power electronics, or sensor integration.
  • Background in manufacturing support, test fixture development, or sustaining engineering.
