Permanent position for a Mechanical Engineer to design custom industrial jacks, dollies, rollers, hydraulics, etc. for heavy weight material handling applications.
Work sales and manufacturing teams to develop solutions to customer problems and ensure designs are manufacturable.
Designs include fabrications from plate and structural steel shapes.
Designs also include integration of hydraulics, electro-mechanical systems and motion control.
Work on custom solutions for material handling.
Use SolidWorks to engineer and detail designs.
Use SolidWorks for Finite Element Analysis.
Use PDM software to maintain documentation and records.
Use ERP software to define how each component and assembly gets made.
Data analysis with Mathcad and Microsoft Excel.
Requirements
BS Mechanical Engineering Minimum 7 years of experience designing fabrications made from plate and structural steel shapes (I-Beam, Channel, Tube, etc.) Experience using SolidWorks.
Heavy weight material handling background is favorable (Cranes, Dollies, Rollers, Carts, etc.).
Familiar with hydraulics and integrating them into designs (Jacking, Push-Pull, Articulation, etc.).
