Description

  • Permanent position for a Nuclear Power Plant Engineer responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and optimizing performance for nuclear power plant fluid systems and equipment.
  • Focus is on growing a service team for thermohydraulics and fluid-structural interactions.
  • Specialize in maintenance, analysis, and optimization of reactor cooling, heat transfer, and troubleshoot thermohydraulic performance issues, while ensuring compliance with regulatory safety standards.
  • Support plant upgrades to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Perform assessments of reactor cooling systems, heat exchangers, pumps, etc. for optimal performance.
  • Inspect and evaluate reactor pressure vessels, containment systems, and support components for fatigue, corrosion, and material degradation.
  • Conduct stress and seismic analysis.
  • Work is performed as part of a team within the nuclear power generation industry (nuclear power plant).

Requirements

  • BS Engineering, Mechanical preferred at a minimum, graduate degrees a strong plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of industrial nuclear power plant experience required.
  • Strong experience in fluids and fluid/structural interactions is required.
  • Experience with engineering simulation tools.
  • Experience with troubleshooting thermohydraulic systems and reviewing fluid-structural integrity.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
