Permanent position for a Nuclear Power Plant Engineer responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and optimizing performance for nuclear power plant fluid systems and equipment.
Focus is on growing a service team for thermohydraulics and fluid-structural interactions.
Specialize in maintenance, analysis, and optimization of reactor cooling, heat transfer, and troubleshoot thermohydraulic performance issues, while ensuring compliance with regulatory safety standards.
Support plant upgrades to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Perform assessments of reactor cooling systems, heat exchangers, pumps, etc. for optimal performance.
Inspect and evaluate reactor pressure vessels, containment systems, and support components for fatigue, corrosion, and material degradation.
Conduct stress and seismic analysis.
Work is performed as part of a team within the nuclear power generation industry (nuclear power plant).
Requirements
BS Engineering, Mechanical preferred at a minimum, graduate degrees a strong plus.
Minimum 10 years of industrial nuclear power plant experience required.
Strong experience in fluids and fluid/structural interactions is required.
Experience with engineering simulation tools.
Experience with troubleshooting thermohydraulic systems and reviewing fluid-structural integrity.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
